Titanic est un duo formé par le guitariste vénézuélien Héctor Tosta (I la Católica) et la violoncelliste guatémaltèque Mabe Fratti. Ensemble, ils développent une musique hybride mêlant bedroom jazz, art-pop et post-minimalisme. Le projet se distingue par une approche expérimentale et une grande richesse harmonique, portée par des arrangements d’inspiration jazz et une tension constante entre écriture et improvisation.

Titanic is een samenwerkingsproject van de Venezolaanse gitarist I la Católica (Héctor Tosta) en de Guatemalteekse celliste Mabe Fratti. De muziek is een mengeling van kamerjazz, art-pop en in sommige nummers een beetje van wat ‘post-minimalisme’ wordt genoemd. De muziek straalt een soort ondeugende elegantie uit die het complexe en zeer specifieke kleurenpalet van Tosta’s harmonische en compositorische keuzes weerspiegelt.
Het project wordt gekenmerkt door improvisatie-energie, filmische diepte, expansieve jazz-geïnspireerde arrangementen en een meeslepende wisselwerking tussen schoonheid en spanning. Titanic maakt meeslepende, onclassificeerbare muziek die vreugdevol en ongeremd aanvoelt.
