Cooking teaches children responsibility as they follow recipes, clean up after themselves, and safely handle kitchen tools. It also develops patience as they wait for food to cook or dough to rise.The August 5th back to school event will start at 10:00am.
No registration required, but supplies may be limited on a first-come, first-served basis. This program is best suited for pre-school, elementary school, and middle school aged children, and may require guardian assistance for younger audiences.
The benefits of kids cooking.
Nutritional Awareness: Cooking helps children understand the importance of a balanced diet and makes them more likely to try new foods, including fruits and vegetables.
Life Skills: Learning to cook is a valuable life skill that promotes independence and self-sufficiency. Children gain confidence in their ability to prepare meals and handle kitchen tasks
