Step back into the 1850s and experience one of photography's most fascinating historical processes.
Join photographer Julian for a live, interactive demonstration of wet plate collodion photography, the process used to create tintype portraits long before the invention of modern film and digital cameras.
From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, attendees will watch Julian create a tintype portrait of a live model while explaining every step of the process. Learn how the plate is prepared, sensitized, exposed, and developed, and gain insight into the chemistry, craftsmanship, and artistry behind this remarkable photographic technique.
This educational demonstration is perfect for photographers, artists, history enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the origins of photography.

Individual Tintype Portrait Sessions
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Following the demonstration, attendees may reserve a private 30-minute tintype portrait session with Julian. The cost is $100 for the individual session, which is heavily discounted from the regular price. Each tintype is handcrafted using the same historic process demonstrated earlier in the day, resulting in a unique, one-of-a-kind portrait that cannot be duplicated.
Portrait sessions are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
