Joining them is the acclaimed Australian saxophonist Ashley Hutton. This international collaboration began at the prestigious Tribeca Jazz Institute in New York, where Ting and Ashley first forged their long-standing musical partnership.
Each member of this ensemble boasts an impressive pedigree, having toured and performed extensively across the regional circuit. With Ashley’s dynamic saxophone artistry integrated into the group, the quartet delivers a high-octane reimagining of the American Songbook and bebop classics. Expect a deeply swinging performance that brings a bold modern edge to the standards you know.
Ashley Hutton Biography
Ashley Hutton is a Australian saxophonist, composer, and contemporary session musician whose work has taken him across the globe. An in-demand collaborator, he has performed and recorded with Grammy and ARIA Award winning artists and producers, contributing to projects that have reached audiences in the millions. In 2026, Ashley was awarded the Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Creative Fellowship, supporting a 3 month trip to New York City to undertake intensive study at the Tribeca Jazz Institute. There, he studied with leading NYC who’sians Grant Stewart, Chris Byars and Bob Mover. Ashley leads the Primetime Sextet, who’s debut album “Live at the Alligator Club” comes out later this year.
