Tinctures are one of the most effective and time-honored ways to work with plants — potent, shelf-stable, and deeply rooted in traditional herbal practice. This class is designed to give you a solid, confident foundation in tincture making so you understand not just how to do it, but why it works.
In this hands-on learning class, we’ll walk through the full tincture process together — from plant selection to menstruum choice, ratios, timing, and proper storage. You’ll handle the materials, observe each step up close, and leave with the knowledge to safely and confidently make tinctures on your own at home.
In this class, we’ll cover:
What tinctures are and when to use them
Fresh vs. dried herbs and how that changes the process
Alcohol types, ratios, and extraction timelines
Root, leaf, flower, and bark considerations
Labeling, storage, and basic safety guidelines
This is a learning-focused class, not a make & take. While we’ll work with real herbs and materials during the demonstration, no finished tincture will be taken home. The goal is education, understanding, and skill-building — perfect for beginners and those wanting to deepen their herbal practice.
All materials for learning are provided.
Space is limited.
Come learn the slow, intentional art of herbal extraction — knowledge you’ll carry far beyond winter.
