Time With Jesus - A worship and prayer Night

This scripture came as a spiritual metaphor while reading it in light of the salvation plan of God and the purpose of man. Both can be found figuratively in this short passage.

We see that the fire starts through foxes whose tails were set on fire, spreading through impact, until eventually the whole field was consumed. This is akin to the salvation plan of God: the fire started at the beginning through the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, and He set a group of people (His disciples) on fire (metaphorically). They then replicated through impact, and it continued to be passed on until it got to us.

Now, the purpose of the regenerated man is found in this: how we now have a responsibility to play our part in this network of fire and continue the work that Jesus Himself started. This is what 2 Corinthians 5:15–21 talks about. We have a responsibility to play our part in this network, just as those before us once did (Hebrews 12:1).

This is a move for our generation.
