Join us for our first Tile Painting Workshop with Lise Lindenberg & Perry Poupore
Saturday, August 22: 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Third Floor Meeting Room, Belleville Public Library, Belleville, ON
Learn to use the Majolica technique to paint your own tile….
Learn a new painting technique that has been used for centuries to paint tiles and ceramics. In this three-hour workshop, you will learn how to transfer an original design onto a tile by creating a template, tracing the outline and then using overglaze to paint your image. Your instructors will be Lise Lindenberg and Perry Poupore from Palat Pottery in Belleville. Each earthenware tile is made with local Belleville clay and is suitable for mounting on a wall, in a frame, or as a coaster.
If possible, create a design that will fit a 5" by 5" tile in advance.
Tiles will be fired after the workshop.
All instructions and materials are provided.
Prices: One tile- $45.00 | Two tiles- $68.00
