Paint a tile, take it home.
Come and spend an evening with us. There's a marker in one hand, a glass of wine in the other, and a handmade tile in front of you to make your own. No experience needed, no tidying up afterwards, and nothing to pay.
We're Meridian 88, an interior design studio in London, and we've been working with Otto Tiles & Design for a while now. They're the reason this evening exists.
Why Otto
Most tiles you see have travelled through a warehouse and a catalogue photograph before they reach you. Otto's don't. Theirs are made by hand in their Istanbul workshop, which means slight variation in every piece, glazes that behave differently depending on where the light falls, and surfaces that look nothing like the picture on a website.
That's exactly why we specify them, and it's also the hardest thing to explain to a client over email. So we thought we'd stop explaining and just put the tiles in your hands instead. Spend two hours with one and you'll understand more about how we choose materials than any mood board could tell you.
The evening
You'll arrive to a glass of wine and something to eat, we'll say hello properly, then show you how the markers work before letting you loose. From there it's a relaxed couple of hours of drawing, drinking and chatting with us and the Otto team, in among their studio shelves.
Everything's provided. Otto supply the tiles, we bring the acrylic markers, the wine and the nibbles. You just turn up.
Who's in the room
This one's for people who work with space, or are about to change one. Homeowners and business owners mid-renovation or thinking about it. Interior designers, architects and designers. Property developers, estate agents and the trades who make these projects happen.
It makes for good company. The person next to you is probably wrestling with the same layout problem, or knows someone who solved it. Bring your questions about tiles, materials or your own project. We'll both be there all evening, and Otto's team know their stock inside out.

Do I need to be any good at drawing?
Not at all. Most people arrive convinced they can't and leave rather pleased with themselves. We'll show you how the markers work, there are simple patterns to follow if you'd rather not start from scratch, and nobody is judging anybody.
Who can book a place?
This evening is for people who work with space or are about to change one: homeowners and business owners mid-renovation or planning one, interior designers and architects, and property developers, agents and trades. If that's you, you're in. Book with the name and role you'd want us to know you by.
Can I bring a friend or colleague?
Please do, as long as they book their own place. Every guest needs a ticket so we know the numbers.
Good to know
Wear something you don't mind catching a spot of colour. Drinks and nibbles are on us, and there's nothing to pay on the night.
