Liberation Hallaqa (in person)
About this Event
Our next session takes inspiration from the famous saying of the Prophet (hadith): "Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith.”
We will be discussing the centrality of taking action and praxis to an Islamic Theology of Liberation, and be referring to pages 106-110 of Farid Esack's seminal work, Quran, Liberation and Pluralism, available here.
All are welcome, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, but please note that no anti-religion views will be tolerated.
