Riding the shimmering pulse of their new single Cactus Blossom, TIJUANA CARTEL return with a sound that feels both cinematic and visceral, weaving flamenco guitar, deep electronic grooves, global rhythms and live percussion into a hypnotic live experience.
For years, the Australian outfit have carved out a world entirely their own: part electronic dancefloor, part desert soundtrack, part late-night festival ritual. Their music moves effortlessly between organic instrumentation and electronics, with intricate guitar, driving bass, percussion and soaring melodies building into something made to be experienced live.
Cactus Blossom opens a new chapter for the band.
Warm, psychedelic and expansive, it captures Tijuana Cartel at their most refined while retaining the raw energy that has made their shows a fixture on festival stages and dancefloors around Australia and beyond.
As they head into a new run of shows, expect a set that moves between deep grooves, moments of cinematic stillness and full-bodied dancefloor energy, music that feels simultaneously ancient and futuristic.
FUTURE ROOTS has been gracing dance floors from Bali’s afro disco parties at SAVAYA to Ibiza’s Namaste events at AKASHA. With his uplifting Afro house sets, traversing electronic musical influences from Africa, Latin America, Brazil and beyond, often combining live percussive element and sampling into his sets, that elevates him into a dynamic realm all his own.
