Tijuana Cartel return to the stage, bringing a fresh wave of new music from their upcoming release, Bumblebee.
Renowned for fusing hypnotic electronica with flamenco guitar, Middle Eastern rhythms and trumpet lines from another dimension, Tijuana Cartel craft a sound that’s truly their own. Based in the Byron Bay region, the band is helmed by guitarist Paul George and producer/keyboardist Carey O’Sullivan, with Sheila Finke on percussion and Tristan Rogers on trumpet.
Their live set weaves together melodic tech, organic house, mid-tempo grooves and rolling percussive soundscapes – layered with live horns, deep bass, and that unmistakable Spanish-tinged guitar. Festival favourites across Australia and abroad, they’re known for transforming any venue into a transporting experience, whether on a major festival stage or an intimate coastal room.
Elevating the night is the incredible Andy V, opening with his signature mix of live-looped sax, keys, beats and soulful electronic vibrations — the perfect launchpad for what’s to come.
