THURSDAY Wine Tasting! - JAX Vineyards Napa Valley -

JAX Vineyards is a family-owned, boutique winery in Calistoga, Napa Valley, established in 1996 by David Jackson and his son Trent, with daughter Kimberly joining in 2003. They produce small-lot, estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc alongside the "Y3" label, focusing on sustainable, hand-harvested wines in collaboration with superstar winemaker Kirk Venge.

What began with a 10 acre vineyard site in Calistoga, the goal to focus on high-quality, terroir-driven wines, moving away from, at the time, overly extracted Napa styles, took some time to gain appreciation, being in the vanguard of change is challenging when your known, even more so when odds and cases sold are against you! WOW what fantastic results they have achieved.
