On Thursday, October 8th, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater’s Thursday Thread-Up presents: FANTASTIC PLANET (1973) on 35mm!
We invite you on a sublime trip to a fine new world, Rene Laloux’s French/Czech animated mindbender FANTASTIC PLANET, a favorite of midnight movie audiences and animation fans for generations, now preparing to launch you into another realm of consciousness on the big, BIG screen on 35mm!

A tale of oppressed humanoids rebelling against giant oppressive masters, in a land filled with strange creatures and landscapes, this sci-fi fantasy trip was originally released by Roger Corman’s New World Pictures in the U.S., and continues to thrill and amaze half a century after it first hit screens and expanded minds.
Gates open at 6pm, showtime at sundown (7:30p).
Tickets are $8.00 General Admission, $5 for children 12 and under and Mahoning Drive-In Patreon members.
