Ditch the apps and the awkward bar scenes—we’re taking the singles scene out onto the water.
A singles beach party in a landlocked state? Something only Thursday could pull off 💅
Join us at Cherry Creek Marina for a sunset singles mixer featuring a live DJ, lawn games, drinks, and flirting on the water. We'll start with a beachside mixer right next to the marina pub (serving canned drinks all evening), then head onto the water for a glowing paddle as the sun sets and the stars come out.
What to expect:
💞 7:00 PM | The Land Mixer & Beats: Kick things off on the shore. Grab a drink, vibe to the live DJ, and enjoy the lawn games and break the ice (and glowsticks) with casual, low-pressure mingling/icebreakers while the sun starts to dip.
🌅 8:15 PM | Sunset Launch: As the sky turns golden, we’ll grab our paddleboards and hit the water together to catch the final rays of daylight. This is where the glow sticks will come in handy 😊
🌙 8:45 PM – 10:00 PM | Spark in the Dark: Stay floating under the stars, or head to shore to continue mingling and enjoying the beach party ✨
For the icebreaker, we'll be doing Glowstick Human Scattegories. When you check in, you'll be handed multiple glowstick bracelets of the same color. The mission is to mingle and find people who have something in common with you. For example: has the same birth month, same favorite cuisine, grew up in the same area, etc.
When you find someone who matches, you'll each trade a glow stick. Keep mingling and trading until you've collected every color. First person to get a rainbow will receive a free drink 🌈
As always, this icebreaker is completely optional, and you can opt to skip out and mingle without it.
What to bring:
- Towel, swimsuit, and something dry to change into if you plan on getting in the water
- Paddleboard or kayak
- Dry bag or waterproof phone case
- Water
No paddleboard? No problem.
