Thursday nights at 8, Bragging Rights Live turns into a comedy room. The show is free, the room holds about a hundred, and the largest arcade in the Southeast is on the other side of the wall. 105 NW 8th Ave in Grove Street, left of the arcade entrance.

Come at 7:30 on any Thursday. No ticket, no cover for the show.

Want to play the hundreds of games next door in the largest arcade in the SouthEast? Buy a wristband at the door or from your server and the arcade is yours before and after the show: one wristband, hundreds of games.

There’s a limited menu in the venue with a server taking orders during the show, and the full menu at the bar next door if you want to make the trip yourself.

Two more reasons to stay planted. We raffle off prizes during the show. And everyone who stays to the end gets a free ticket to come back to the arcade another day. Free show, a shot at a prize, and the next visit’s on us.

FOR OPEN MIC COMEDIANS: HOW IT WORKS
This is a real list with real rules, because a mic where the list is a mystery is a mic nobody trusts.

• The list opens Tuesday at 6pm at braggingrights.com/comedy/ and closes Thursday at 5pm. We recommend setting a reminder as the list may fill up fast.
• One signup per person per week. Spots are capped, so the page shows a count, and when it’s full you’re on the waitlist.
• Not coming? Give up your spot. Cancel through the signup page and the next comic on the waitlist moves up automatically. Signing up and no-showing, repeatedly, gets you banned from the list.
• List closed? Come by anyway. Spots open up on show night more often than you’d think. Check in with the host and you’re first in line when one does.
• Show’s at 8. Check in with the host by 7:45 or your spot can go to the room.
• Set lengths and order are announced at check-in and depend on the size of the list that night.
• Everyone who performs and stays until the end of the show gets a free ticket back to the arcade. We understand if you need to leave early but we want to build a supportive scene for comedians to develop and support each other.

BOOKED ACTS & TOURING COMEDIANS

Thursday is our weekly show, and the room does more than open mics. If you’re a working comic, a touring act routing through North Central Florida, or a producer with a show that needs a stage, we book the room for headliner sets, showcases, and recordings. A hundred seats, stage, sound, projection, bar, and an audience that’s already in the building.
