From Southern California (on the West coast of the USA), the Balboa is a closely partnered swing dance was hugely popular in the 1930s and 1940s and is still being danced all over the world today. If you want to be able to dance to incredible up-tempo Jazz bands all night long, this is the dance for youAll classes are delivered in a drop-in style, so anyone can start at any time. For our Level 1 classes, no experience is required.
No partner is required, as we’ll be rotating partners, but if you can encourage a friend to give it a go and try the opposite role to you, that’s excellent.
TIME:
6:30 - 7:30 pm: Level 1 (Beginners welcome)
7:45 - 8:45 pm: Level 2 (Intermediate and above)
8:45 - Free Practise Time
Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in.
