Through Their Eyes: Visual Voices from the START Programme – A Travelling Exhibition will be on display at Enniscorthy Library, Lymington Road, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, from Monday 22 September to Wednesday 1 October 2025.The exhibition showcases photographs taken by people with lived experience of mental health difficulties and housing insecurity, all of whom are supported through the START (Support for Tenancy and Recovery Targets) Programme.
This initiative — a partnership between South East HSE Mental Health Services, Local Authorities, and Approved Housing Bodies — addresses the significant barriers many people face in accessing secure, appropriate housing. By providing secure tenancies alongside personalised, recovery-focused support, the START Programme aims to enable individuals to live independently, build and maintain a home, and participate in their communities.
Each photograph is paired with a personal caption, offering a unique visual voice that reflects on themes of home, inclusion, recovery, and community life. Together, these works present reflective visual representations advocating for the right to a home, inclusion, and full community participation.
