Join the Carson City Historical Society for Through the Lens of Time — A Historic Photo Roundup of Carson City presented by local historian Jed Block as part of our America250 Nevada series, What America Means to Carson City.
If you’ve ever heard Jed speak, you know this is more than a lecture—it’s an experience. Through fascinating historic photographs, humor, and unforgettable local stories, Jed brings Carson City’s past vividly to life. As he says, “History isn’t just about dates—it’s about people,” and Carson City’s history is filled with “a cast of characters unlike anywhere else in the West.”
This special event is also a fundraiser supporting the Carson City Historical Society and our all-volunteer efforts to preserve and share local history through community programs, tours, lectures, and events.
