Throttle Comedy Championship - Week 1: Qualifiers

The search for Maine's funniest comedian starts now.

Final Bistro Comedy and Throttle Car Club are joining forces to bring you the most high-stakes, high-laughs comedy tournament of the year. Over three weeks, local comedians will battle it out for cold hard cash, bragging rights, and a headlining spot at Maine's newest comedy club, Flip Flops Comedy Club in Old Orchard Beach.

And the best part? You're in control.

THIS IS WEEK 1: THE QUALIFIERS. FRIDAY, APRIL 17TH.

It all begins here. A roster of Maine's funniest up-and-coming comics will take the stage for exactly 5 minutes each to prove they've got what it takes. Some will shine. Some will crack under pressure. And by the end of the night, we'll know who's moving on to the semifinals.

THE ROAD TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Three weeks. One champion.

• Week 1 - Qualifiers: Friday, April 17 | 5-Minute Sets
• Week 2 - Semifinals: Friday, April 24 | 7-Minute Sets
• Week 3 - Championship: Friday, May 1 | 10-Minute Sets

THE PRIZES

This isn't just a trophy. The winner walks away with:

• $250 CASH
• A HEADLINING SPOT at Maine's newest comedy club, Flip Flops Comedy Club in Old Orchard Beach
• Eternal bragging rights as the first-ever Throttle Comedy Champion

Runner-ups get paid too:

• 2nd Place: $50 CASH
• 3rd Place: $25 CASH

HOW IT WORKS: YOU ARE THE JUDGE

A panel of comedy experts will be scoring each performance. But they're only half the equation.

Every ticket includes voting power. After the show, you'll cast your votes to help decide which comedians advance to Week 2. The audience has a real voice. Your laughter? That's the scoreboard.

THE VENUE

Friday, April 17th, Throttle Car Club becomes Throttle Comedy Club. The entire event takes place in the second floor event space, featuring:

• Large windows overlooking the car collection below
• An outdoor rooftop patio
• High-end car club atmosphere with cool vibes and great company

Note: The second floor is accessible only by stairs, with no elevator.

FOOD & DRINK

Great Scott Eats will be serving up delicious bites starting at 5:00 PM. Full bar available on the second floor throughout the night.

YOUR NIGHT OUT

• 5:00 PM: Doors open. Food truck available. Grab a drink. Settle in.
• 7:00 PM: Showtime! Nonstop laughs until we crown the qualifiers.
