Welcome to the Throckmorton Fun Benchrest page!
The emphasis is on FUN for us.
Non-affiliated, but supported by some of the UK's Benchrest Leagues, we operate with our own Rules, such as:
Simple non-clamping front rests or bipod
Shooting totally from the shoulder
25 targets at 25 yards
Occasionally additional requirements - like Christmas hats!
Taking the Mickey is (almost) compulsory
Very basic winners trophies (tokens as it's FUN!)
Younger shooters are positively encouraged
DO NOT TAKE YOURSELF SERIOUSLY
We run comps about every 3 months and are open to competitors of all ages.
The benches might be a bit rickety (until we get new ones!), the range will DEFINITELY be a tad breezy and the company will be entertaining!
