Join Sacramento County and our community partners at California State University, Sacramento for a day filled with inspiration, learning, and networking. The T.H.R.I.V.E. Summit & Community Engagement Mixer is a unique opportunity to build community with purpose-driven individuals. Come hear how county and community partners are navigating the current climate. Learn how community and government build meaningful relationships, engage community, and uplift and empower the most vulnerable through our T.H.R.I.V.E. tenants.

The T.H.R.I.V.E. Summit (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) aims to highlight the county's efforts, progress, and opportunities for improvement and partnership in addressing key issues such as housing, public safety, food insecurity, and mental and behavioral health.
The Community Engagement Mixer (4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) will focus on networking activities for Community-Based Organizations to identify new partners, connect to county resources, and share best practices. Both T.H.R.I.V.E. Summit and Community Engagement Mixer events require a separate registration.
Additionally, American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be available at the event. Agenda
**Opening Address**
Info: We will honor the space with a land and labor acknowledgment, then introduce our Board of Supervisor(s) and receive a welcome address from Sacramento’s County Executive.
**Powerful Storytelling**
Info: Public Health’s Community Health In Action (CHIA), Public Safety & Justice Department, and Homeless Services & Housing Department will share how they are working to advance racial equity through program initiatives.
**Lunch**
Info: The menu has been designed to accommodate vegetarian and vegan dietary needs.
**Cultural Performances**
Info: Enjoy performances that reflect the artful creativity of culture by talented people who live, work, and play in the County of Sacramento.
**Keynote Address**
Info: Be inspired to take action by Dr. Robert “BJ” Snowden, Executive Director (Interim) of the new CSU Black Student Success Center that serves 23 campuses in the California State University System. Dr. Snowden built his career in the community college system advocating for issues of racial equity.
**Panel Discussion**
Info: Follow the journey of the City of Sacramento’s transformative approach to developing partnerships with community stakeholders to address structural and systemic racism through a moderated panel discussion with Race Forward and members of Sacramento Centered on Racial Equity (SCORE).
**Sacramento County DEI Cabinet**
Info: Meet members of the DEI Cabinet and learn about the work they are championing internally and externally to embed equity in the day-to-day operations and transform systems.
**Community Engagement Mixer**
Info: Immediately following the T.H.R.I.V.E. Summit, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, a space will be provided for community-based organizations to network, build community, and strengthen the equity ecosystem in a relaxed atmosphere.
