THRIVE: Designed for Survivors of Domestic Abuse

THRIVE: The GEMS signature event that helps survivors feel empowered to move forward with hope and confidence.

We believe that no matter what you have gone through, you can have a beautiful live and not only survive, but truly THRIVE.

The theme of this THRIVE is the concept of PTG (Post Traumatic Growth).This concept was first developed in the 1990's. The premise is that although PTSD is certainly real, Post Traumatic Growth is as well. PTG can lead those who experience it to new heights, a new life, and the potential of an entirely new reality born from the ashes of debilitating seismic trauma.

Our incredible speakers (Dave Sweet, Nicole Bullock, Sarah Hawco and Cindy Henkleman) will all be speaking from thier perspectives as a homicide detective, psychologist, and survivors.

This event is grounded in the abuse that connects us all, but is focused on hope, happiness and living the life you deserve to live.
