Thrive Camp provides an opportunity for 1st-8th grade students with disabilities and their siblings to connect in fun and meaningful ways to God and each other. Thrive encourages laughter and healing, adventure and delight for all – the thriving life!None of this happens without an incredible team of volunteers.
If you have a heart to serve, encourage others, and help create an environment where every child is supported and celebrated, we would love for you to be part of the Thrive team this summer.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Peer Buddy
Peer Buddies are same-aged or close-in-age volunteers who walk alongside a camper with a disability throughout the day. Buddies participate in activities together, model engagement and fun, and help their camper feel included, supported, and encouraged.
Special Ops Team
The Special Ops Team is made up of high school students or older with disabilities who have aged out of Thrive Camp but want to continue participating and serving. Special Ops members assist with activities, help encourage younger campers, and support various camp operations.
Small Group Leaders
Small Group Leaders oversee a group of campers and buddies, helping guide activities and provide support when needed. They serve as the primary point of leadership for their group and help ensure everyone has a safe and meaningful experience.
1:1 Support Volunteers
1:1 volunteers provide individualized support for campers who need additional assistance throughout the day. These volunteers help their camper participate in activities, navigate transitions, and feel comfortable and supported.
Medical Team
Our Medical Team provides on-site medical support during camp. Nurses and other medical professionals assist with medication needs, medical concerns, and first response care when necessary.
Program Team
The Program Team helps create the engaging and fun environment that makes Thrive Camp special. These volunteers support teaching and programming through music, tech support, set design, drama, skits, filming, and creative production.
