Paleontologist Dr. Mark Loewen, of the Natural History Museum of Utah and the University of Utah, will present a talk on the newly named dinosaur Lokiceratops rangiformis at NHMU on Saturday, June 29. The talk will start promptly at 1 p.m. and seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Lokiceratops, a massive ceratopsian with an impressive display of horns and frills, was just announced to the world during a press conference last week. The fossil discovery made in Montana was studied by Loewen and a team of researchers in Utah who then published a paper naming the new species in the scientific journal PeerJ.
Join us at NHMU to meet Loewen and hear more about this new dinosaur discovery, which is on display in the Past Worlds exhibition. This event is included with museum admission.
