Displaying sculptures as elements of an ever-evolving environment, this exhibition evokes the liminal space at the apex of transformation, exploring the precise and yet unstable moment when change is underway, but the “before” and “after” states are no longer distinguishable in a linear way. In this point of suspension, beginnings and endings dissolve into an ambiguous, indeterminate state, inviting the viewer to engage with the tension of in-betweenness and reflect on our relationship with the fast-paced, constantly evolving environment around us.
The exhibition features six wall sculptures, combining both existing and new works, alongside a new series consisting of two-dimensional cut-out metal forms, also suspended on the walls. These works play with materiality, shadow, and form, suggesting portals, edges, and moments of passage. The dialogue between these elements heightens the sense of flux, where solid boundaries become porous and familiar structures unravel.
Through this collection of works, the exhibition aims to manifest the intangible, fleeting instant when transformation is neither here nor there, but somewhere in between. By dissolving the certainty of fixed points, it seeks to open a space for contemplation on the thresholds we constantly navigate, both physical and psychological, and to trace new paths of meaning within the elements of our surrounding reality.

Michele Bazzoli (b. 1996, IT) is an Amsterdam-based visual artist working through sculpture, installation, and digital medias. Investigating the relationship between human and nature within the anthropocentric vision of the Western world, his artistic research can be seen as attempt to create an autonomous visual language with which to relate to, explore, and question our entanglement within the current ecological breakdown and the environmental transformations of our present.
