Three Women, No Script

Three Women, No Script is exactly that. They don't know what they're going to do but they do know what they're doing if you catch that drift. After their delightfully successful debut as an ensemble last month at Occidental Center for the Arts, this trio of improvisers is ready to discover what comes next!

Tracy Burns has been teaching and performing internationally for over 30 years. She teaches acting, performance analysis, and improv at Pixar, DreamWorks, The Sims, Laika, Electronic Arts, and other animation and gaming studios. She is the Acting for Animators instructor at California College of the Arts. She was named one of the top improv instructors in Los Angeles by Backstage magazine. Tracy was a founding member and co-artistic director of London Theatresports and was the artistic director of Los Angeles Theatresports. She was a core member and instructor for the award-winning improv group Impro Theatre in L.A. She has also taught and performed with many other groups such as Second City, ACME (L.A.), BATS (S.F.), The Comedy Store Players (London), Unexpected Productions (Seattle), The Brody (Portland), Drama Light (Germany), Op Sterk Water (Holland) and Vancouver TheatreSports (Canada).

Susie Sargent discovered and fell in love with improv over twenty-five years ago and enjoys sharing her passion through training, teaching, and performing. For seven years she was an ensemble member of Un-Scripted Theater Company where she performed full-length improvised plays and musicals as well as Swipe Right, a show about online dating (in which she once played a Krispy Kreme worker and was given an audience member’s donuts). She performs in improv festivals across the nation as half of the duo Wine & Weasels and was featured in two seasons of How We First Met, including shows on Crystal Cruises. She is a guest player with BATS Improv (SF) and Regular Exclusive Blend (Sacramento) and is a frequent ZipLine Improv guest.

Laura Wachtel is the founder of ZipLine Improv in the North Bay and a company member at BATS Improv in SF, where she began her training in 2005. As an instructor, her aim is to create a space where others’ lives can be changed for the better through improv, as hers was. As a performer she enjoys building stories and characters with real feelings and stakes, whether comically or dramatically. She recently co-created the workshops Improv Meets Feldenkrais (taught in Sonoma County) and Improv Meets PSYCH-K (Sonoma County and the UK). ZipLine Improv has also produced a number of shows including: Improvised Jane Austen, Double Feature, A Fourth Wheel, Passion Noir, Swipe Right and Heist!, a format created by Laura.
