Three Wives High Tea Garden Party
Step into the elegance of 1876 as the Crocker House Museum & Gardens invites you to a memorable Three Wives High Tea Garden Party, part of our America250 Celebration.
While American Patriots famously dumped tea into Boston Harbor in protest of British rule, tea itself never lost its place in American society. By the time our nation celebrated its Centennial in 1876, the Victorian tradition of afternoon tea had become one of the era's most cherished social occasions—a time for gracious hospitality, lively conversation, and lasting friendships.
Join us for an elegant High Tea in the blooming gardens of the Crocker House Museum (weather permitting). If Mother Nature has other plans, we'll simply move the celebration inside the beautiful historic Crocker House, where the afternoon's charm and elegance will continue uninterrupted.
Enjoy our signature Three Wives tea and refreshing iced tea, accompanied by a delightful assortment of tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and decadent desserts.
The afternoon's highlight is a captivating living history presentation featuring historical re-enactors portraying George Crocker and his three wives. Through their remarkable stories, you'll experience a fascinating tale of love and loss, faith and family, bringing one of Mount Clemens' most intriguing families to life.
