βοΈ Learn some new skills in a fun, community-centric environment. Three Sisters Gardens holds a Skills Share each month to promote knowledge transfer and sharing economies.
πΌ Our goal is to make all of this information readily available and accessible to anyone who wants to learn. There should be no barrier to entry when it comes to growing your own food and building food sovereignty.
We are trying our best to make all our events ZERO WASTE. It is recommended to bring your own plate/bowl/tupperware and utensil.
Nazzy Pakpour is a children's book author, scientist, biotech founder, and the queer Iranian-American mother of two witty and wonderful kids. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and now lives in Davis, California. She loves bugs of all varieties, whether they are six-legged or microscopic. Nazzy received her BS in Entomology from the University of California Davis and her doctorate in Microbiology, Virology, and Parasitology from the University of Pennsylvania. She is passionate about teaching science and worked for a number of years as a professor before moving to the biotech sector as a research scientist. She likes to spend her free time volunteering with the Bohart Museum of Entomology, teaching the community about insects, and as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) for foster youth.
