Mon-Wed 9:00 - NoonAll about ART! Our three-day camps feature a large project each day and one or two smaller projects each camp. Each day we take a break outside for fun and games. Water and a snack will be provided daily. (You can send a snack if you prefer.)
Projects for August 18 - 20:
Folded Animals - Students will make their own folded slab animal out of clay.
Crazy Patterns - Students will paint pottery to make a bold pattern in an unpredictable layout.
4 x 4 x 4 - Students will paint for panels using color to differentiate each panel.

Our camps are designed for art fun and learning. At a Soul Fire Art Camp we measure success by by the strengthening of your child’s creative “muscles” ~ not on their ability to make a project that matches our samples. Each lesson presents a different design challenge in a different media.

Each camp includes:
Variety - each project uses different media and different skill so that participants have multiple experiences.
Use of professional quality art tools and materials in a variety of media as well as instruction by Soul Fire veterans who are student teachers / trained artists.
Additional Info:
Camps are open to those who have completed grades 1 and up. Last years campers ranged from 6 - 14 with the majority in the 7-10 range.
Please verify that you are comfortable with the various project media. We provide PPE, but glass is sharp.
Art is messy - please dress appropriately!
Projects may change due to the availability of supplies but will stay in the same media and projects are not repeated. Projects for this camp are listed above. Projects for all the three-day camps are listed below.
Projects for June 23 - 25:
Pet Dish - Students will use clay to create a bowl designed to look like a pet. This would make a great pet dish, cereal bowl, or snack holder.
Silk Screen Pottery - students will learn how use to silk screens on pottery, and even have the chance to make a screen from a design they create.
Totem - students will paint and decorate a wood totem.
Projects for July 7-9:
Trees - Students will use fused glass to create a realistic or whimsical tree.
Gloss on Matte - Students will use different types of glazes to create a tone-on-tone piece with gloss designs on a matte background.
Nature Prints - Students will create nature-inspired prints using gel plates.
Projects for July 21-23:
Face Pots - Students will use clay slabs to build a pot with face; a human, pet, or whimsical monster.
House Fronts - Students will use fused glass to create a house that will be mounted for display
Organic Doodle - Students will paint pottery with organic color blocks then add black doodles.
Projects for August 4-6:
Repeating Pattern - Students will make a fused glass piece with a repeating pattern of fun shapes.
Plop Technique - Students will paint a stoneware piece using the plop technique to achieve gorgeous flow on their pottery.
Dog Show - Students will paint a canvas of a dog showing their personality. Students will be able to enter their painting in the PAAC art show after class to extend the fun.
