Threatened Species Day, commemorated on 7 September each year, is when we turn the spotlight on native plants, animals, and ecosystems that are under threat and reflect on how we can protect them into the future.Take a walk on Tuesday 9 September through the Botanic Gardens to discover the endangered species and how the Botanic Gardens Friends and Council staff are trying to protect and conserve them.
Meet your guide at the Meeting Post near the Friends Centre , 10 minutes before the walk commences. Wear closed in shoes, a hat and bring a water bottle. This is a free walk but donations are appreciated and valued contributing towards Friends supporting the Botanic Gardens.
