Threads Through Time

Celebrate America 250 with us! "Threads Through Time", our special Heritage Day event, will feature one-of-a-kind textiles from our collection. Visitors will see a quilt from the Pickering Family with names embroidered into it, a flag made by local women to honor soldiers who served in WWI with their names stitched onto stars, and a woven throw with Pickering family names woven into the yarn. Also, third-grade students from Heritage Elementary collaborated with us to make a special paper quilt for the America 250 celebration. These are just a few of the items that will be featured.
While at the museum, you may arrange to have YOUR name included on our America 250 quilt that will be placed with the Bicentennial Time Capsule later this year and not be seen again until the time capsule is opened in 2076.
If you missed seeing the large model train display at The Big Roadshow in April, this will be your last chance. Step downstairs to the lower level and check it out.
As always, admission to our museum is FREE. There is a wheelchair lift on the rear of the building for those with mobility issues.
