An afternoon of gentle yoga and ear acupuncture to support Calm Clinic and Caravan
Join us for a two-part nervous system reset in support of Calm Clinic and Caravan, a Roanoke-based nonprofit expanding access to trauma-informed acupuncture and holistic care.
We’ll begin with a gentle yoga class led by Mel Rolfes, featuring slow, mindful movement, grounding breathwork, and restorative poses designed to support regulation and prepare the body for rest.
Following our yoga practice, participants are invited to receive a 5 Needle Protocol (5NP) treatment—a group ear acupuncture experience offered in stillness and quiet.
🩹 What is 5NP?
5NP (5 Needle Protocol) is a simple yet powerful form of auricular (ear) acupuncture used in community and clinical settings around the world. It involves the placement of five very thin, sterile needles into specific points on each ear. This protocol supports the nervous system, calms the mind, and can be beneficial for managing stress, trauma, grief, insomnia, and emotional overwhelm.
The treatment is administered in a quiet group setting. Participants are invited to rest for 30–45 minutes in stillness while the needles do their work.
⚠️ 5NP Considerations
5NP is generally safe and well-tolerated, but may not be indicated for individuals who:
• Have a severe needle phobia or medical trauma involving the ears
• Are currently experiencing psychosis or mania
• Have an active ear infection or open wounds on the ears
You are welcome to attend the yoga portion only or simply rest during the acupuncture session if needed.
