Cost: Registration is £25 per person and includes a tenugui for all participants, attendance to the Friday evening seminar with Yamazaki Sensei 7th Dan, registration to all events at the Thistle Cup Taikai and attendance to Japan Day Aberdeen.
Location:
Friday: TBC
Saturday: Saturday: Lochside Academy, Wellington Cir, Aberdeen, AB12 3JG
Sunday: Newton Dee Village, Old Ferry Road, Bieldside, AB15 9DX
Itinerary:
Friday 5th of September: Welcome Keiko and seminar led by Kazuo Yamazaki Sensei Nanadan from Tokyo.
Saturday 6th of September 9am - 5pm:
Under 16s Embu
Kyu Taikai - Anyone Ikkyu or below over 16 years old
Thistle Cup - Any 1st or 2nd Dan over 16 years old
Women’s Taikai - women of any grade over 16 years old
Senior Taikai - 3rd Dan and over
Any remaining time can be used for jigeiko
Saturday 6th of September 7pm:
Evening meal: Location TBC
Sunday 7th of September:
Hangover Keiko - Newton Dee Village 9:30am-10:30am
Japan day Aberdeen - All Day - Newton Dee Aberdeen:
All participants are welcome to join Japan Day Aberdeen. This is a public event celebrating Japanese culture, heritage and historical relationship between Scotland and Japan. Please ask if you would like more details or would like to participate in martial arts demonstrations on the day.
