Join MS4MS Ambassador Gina Campbell as she and her supporters bike, ruck, run, or walk from Crane Brewing to Kauffman Stadium via the Rock Island Trail. Participants will meet in front of Crane Brewing and are encouraged to bike, ruck, run or walk as far as they wish, but all are welcome back at Crane for drinks and fun post-event. Rumor has it, Gina might even buy you a drink if you stick around.
You don’t drink? You don’t have to, as Crane sells a handful of non-alcoholic beverages.
You don’t fitness? You don’t have to, as you are welcome to cheer on others, help with event set-up or hang out at Crane.
You can’t come? It’s okay, you can still purchase a t-shirt and have it shipped to you OR make a donation.
Trail Details: The distance to The K and back is about 7 miles, and while most of the trail is paved concrete, it is a bit hilly, but very beginner-friendly. You DO NOT have to walk the whole way, but plan for around 2-3 hours if you want the full experience. However, keep in mind, one mile can take as little as 20 minutes, so pick the distance that works for your body and your schedule.
T-Shirt Distribution: All shirts ordered by September 1st will be available for pick-up at the event or mailed at your request by contacting Gina at [email protected].
In case of rain: A decision will be made to either postpone or cancel by 5:00 PM, September 19th and participants will be notified of any changes via email. In the event of a cancellation, shirts will be mailed at no additional cost to supporters.
About your Host: Gina Campbell has lived with MS for almost 25 years but has found more success with fitness than any other treatment plan. An avid Royals fan and a devotee to snooty craft beer, she will lead you by rucksack from Crane Brewing to The K where she has experienced many happy moments, thanks to her parents and even Mr. K himself. All fitness abilities and body types are encouraged to attend as this is a non-judgmental event for a non-judgmental disease that affects nearly one million people in the US, alone. That said, don’t be late. Gina won’t judge you, but she might leave without you as participants will depart promptly, by 11:15 AM on “Gina Time.”
