This Is Me: Works in Progress

Join us for an inspiring evening of art, storytelling, and community at the public reception for This Is Me: Works in Progress, a collaborative exhibition presented by Artability (People Incorporated) in partnership with the Center for Health Interprofessional Programs (CHIP) and the Center for the Art of Medicine (CFAM) at the University of Minnesota.

This unique exhibition brings together visual art and creative writing that explore identity, resilience, hope, and the many experiences that shape who we are.

Experience Live Readings by Artability Writers

The highlight of the evening will be a series of live readings as Artability artists share original works inspired by the exhibition theme, This Is Me. Hear directly from the artists as they tell stories of growth, healing, connection, and self-discovery.

Featured readers include:

• Steel

• Danielle Koch

• Jane Gerus

These moving readings offer a rare opportunity to experience the artwork alongside the voices and stories behind it.

In addition to the live readings, guests are invited to:

• Explore the exhibition.

• Meet the artists.

• Connect with members of the community.

• Enjoy complimentary snacks and light refreshments.

Please note: This Is Me: Works in Progress is not the annual Artability Art Show & Sale. This is a separate exhibition created in partnership with CHIP and CFAM to celebrate Artability artists and foster conversations around creativity, wellness, and aging. Artwork in this exhibition is not available for purchase.

• Washington Avenue Ramp

Volunteers will be stationed at the main entrance of the Health Sciences Education Center to welcome guests and direct them to the exhibition space.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is appreciated but not required.
