Previously wiped out from the mainland, pakake/New Zealand sea lions have been breeding on Otago and Southland shores for over 30 years. In this talk, postgraduate researcher Hanna Maria Ravn from the Department of Marine Science at the University of Otago will dive into the stories, myths and science connecting us to a returned taonga species.
