Third Thursdays Poetry: April

Jendi Reiter is the author of nine books, including the recent publication of their poetry collection Introvert Pervert (The Word Works, 2026) and the novels Two Natures and Origin Story, both from Saddle Road Press. Their work explores themes of belonging and becoming, magic, queerness, and family violence. They have degrees from Harvard, Columbia, and the Temple of Witchcraft Mystery School. Raised on the Lower East Side of NYC, they now live in Western Massachusetts with their family.

Cate Lycurgus’s writing has appeared in Best American Poetry, ZYZZYVA, The American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, Kenyon Review, Tin House, and elsewhere. She has received fellowships from Bread Loaf and Sewanee Writers' Conferences, and received 2nd place in Narrative's 2022 Poetry Contest. Her chapbook Seacliff is forthcoming from Bull City Press in 2025. Cate lives in the Bay Area on unceded Muwekma Ohlone lands. While currently teaching business writing at San José State University, Cate has also bartended and worked construction on Native American reservations throughout the west. After receiving her MFA in poetry from Indiana University in Bloomington, she returned to the Bay Area for full-time caregiving. In addition to her own creative work, for the last ten years, Cate has conducted interviews for 32 Poems; and recently, with Keetje Kuipers, is co-curating the Headwaters Reading Series for Health and Well-being, presenting writing on issues of mental, women's, and indigenous health to Western Montanans. She also leads writing workshops at Hugo House and The Writing Salon SF, but when not immersed in words, Cate loves to run, surf, dance, cook delicious vegan food, and listen to baseball on the radio.

Heidi Seaborn is Executive Editor of The Adroit Journal and winner of The Missouri Review Editors Prize in Poetry. Her third book of poetry, tic tic tic, is forthcoming in 2025 from Cornerstone Press. Heidi’s the author of three award-winning books/chapbooks of poetry: An Insomniac’s Slumber Party with Marilyn Monroe, Give a Girl Chaos, and Bite Marks. Recent work in AGNI, Blackbird, Copper Nickel, Financial Times, Image, Poetry Northwest, Rattle, Terrain.org, The Slowdown and elsewhere. Heidi holds degrees from Stanford and NYU. heidiseabornpoet.com
