The Friends of Downtown Northfield are excited to announce the return of the Third Thursday Street Dance. Come on down to Bridge Square and listen and dance to live music, enjoy food from local restaurants, and drinks from that month’s Fermentation Friend!
We are extra excited to be partnering with our local colleges to host a special back to school edition of Third Thursday for the whole community to gather!
It’s free fun for the whole community! All are welcome!
Musical Lineup:
5:00pm - 6:15pm: Emperor Tamarin (Jazzy Pop from Carleton Students)
6:30pm - 8:00pm: Undergrad (Rock music from St. Olaf Students).
Fermentation Friend: Keepsake Cidery (with drinks from Northfield's other breweries).
Scavenger Hunt: We will also be having a scavenger hunt of Downtown for new students and Townies to explore and discover different local landmarks. Pick up a scavenger hunt program at the Friends of Downtown on Bridge Square starting at 5pm. Completed programs by 7pm, will be considered for the prize drawing.
Event Details:
Time – the event will run each month from 5pm – 8pm
Seating – Picnic tables and Red Chairs from Age Friendly will be available or you can bring your own down.
Location – The showmobile stage will be set up in Bridge Square in front of the Post Office.
Parking – Free Parking is available in the 5th & Water Street Parking Lot, 5th & Washington Parking Lot. Street parking is available on Division Street, 4th Street, and 5th Street.
Food – Many of the great local restaurants have special hours or deals during Third Thursday. From pizza to pho, sandwiches, ice cream and more there is plenty of great food within in 2 blocks of Bridge Square.
Drinks – The Fermentation Friends, a group of local craft beverage makers will be serving alcoholic drinks on Bridge Square. Water and Soda is available from Fifty North’s popcorn wagon near the Bridge Square Fountain.
