About this Event
Local Variety Co. presents Third Space Comedy — a monthly stand-up event in the Taproom at Urbanrest Brewing Company in Ferndale, MI.
Each show features local & regional comedians in an intimate space filled with barrels, string lights, and good vibes. The “third space” is the place between work and home where you feel seen and celebrated for who you are. For us, it’s a celebration of comedy, creativity, community, and connection — and you’re invited.
Emmi’s career kicked off in a non-traditional way – she combined her sales job with her comedy aspirations. In a pop-up style, she promoted one-night-only shows by word of mouth during corporate company events, organizing comedy nights in any space she could find: hotel rooms, lobbies, bars & retreats.
In 2023, Emmi became a full-time nomad: traveling around the world, performing in 8 countries along the way.
In 2024, she produced & headlined a sold out show in Madrid, Spain.
2025 was a year of debuts - she wrote, produced & debuted her one hour show: Big Fish, No Pond. Additionally, she performed in the Vermont Comedy Festival and launched her podcast, “Stories I Wouldn’t Tell My Nana.”
Emmi is currently performing around the U.S. In 2026, she’ll bring her show to the Alaska B4UDie Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland & the Geelong Comedy Festival in Australia.
