6-week beginner-friendly introduction to Roller Derby boot camp 1/5/2026 - 2/09/2026, brought to you by the skaters of Third Coast Roller Derby (TCRD)! Our team is Open Gender and all skaters are welcome!The cost is $150, and the boot camp will be held on Monday evenings from 7-9 pm, starting January 5th and running through February 9th, at Alvin Skate n Party.
Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm are *optional* off-skate scrimmage participation while you progress through your skills and work to become derby ready!
Our Boot Camp is an introductory roller derby training course. No prior experience is necessary to participate! New skaters welcomed. We will teach you proper skating form and stance, agility, game play, and everything in between to allow you to become a successful and safe skater.
Some loaner gear is available! Please reach out if you are interested, but do not have the equipment to participate (skates, knee/elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet, and mouth guard).
Our boot camp is led by our experienced skaters and coaching staff and is designed to help new skaters reach their full potential on and off the track, regardless of prior skill, experience, and ability.
REDUCED monthly team dues for skaters who wish to become a Ref and participate in learning the rules and gameplay, and working with our team as a Ref during practice, scrimmage, and games!
