Sankofa Haus Presents Third Ave Jazz

On Tuesday, February 24th, Sankofa Haus becomes a portal — a living, breathing reminder that jazz has always been more than music. It’s movement. It’s storytelling. It’s freedom. And right now, across the South Bronx, jazz is finding its voice again: in new rooms, new audiences, and new rhythms that honor the past while speaking boldly to the present.

In many ways, we’re reliving our own Rolling ’20s — a cultural renaissance where art isn’t a luxury, it’s a lifeline. Jazz once soundtracked an era of innovation, rebellion, elegance, and community gathering. Today, that same spirit is back: people dressing up, stepping out, and reconnecting through live music that makes you feel something real. When the drums hit and the horns sing, it’s not just entertainment — it’s energy that moves through the room and into the neighborhood.

Leading the night is Adriel Vincent-Brown — a Trinidadian-born drummer, composer, and bandleader based in New York City. Known for his dynamic fusion of jazz, Rnb, hip-hop, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, he represents exactly what this resurgence is about: honoring tradition while expanding the sound forward. This will be an IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE with projection mapping transforming our walls.

Sankofa Haus is proud to host this moment in the South Bronx — because music and art don’t just reflect culture… they shape it. They create connection across generations, spark conversations between strangers, and remind us we belong to something bigger than ourselves. Come experience the sound, the soul, and the revival.

Doors open: 7:00 PM
