About this Event
Ever feel like your mind is too busy for meditation? You’re in the right place. Join me, Drea (Drey-ah) Hartwell, for a 6-week foundations of mindfulness course where we stop struggling with our thoughts and start meeting our active minds with kindness.
Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned practitioner, come learn to stay rooted as we remember the way home: to our breath, to our bodies, and to the heart of the present moment.
6-Week Class Series:
Week 1 — April 22nd: Arriving Here, Now:
Find your anchor in the steady rhythm of the breath.
Week 2 — April 29th: Presence and the Body
Inhabit your body and shift from "head-space" into "heart-space."
Week 3 — May 6th: Meeting Our Experience
Learn to observe your active mind with curiosity and kindness.
NO CLASS MAY 13TH — A WEEK FOR HOME PRACTICE
Week 4 — May 20th: Meeting the Inner Landscape
Navigate the storms of life using the compassionate RAIN method.
Week 5 — May 27th: Befriending the Thinking Mind
Thinking Allowed: Discover a sense of space between the stories we tell ourselves.
Week 6 — June 3rd: Cultivating Kindness
Walking the Path: Weaving the threads of your practice into the fabric of everyday life.
