About this Event
We are having a FREE talk about the benefits of training!
Providing your dog with positive reinforcement-based training is crucial to their well-being, maybe even more important than you might think! Join Dr. Karen Griffin, PhD, a researcher in canine science and Executive Director of The Dog Rehoming Project, to learn fun and easy ways to incorporate training into your dog’s day-to-day routines so that they can live their best lives through learning. She’ll discuss what scientific research tells us about why positive reinforcement-based training is so valuable, how to customize training to your pup’s needs, and how to find appropriate resources to help you along the way. Maisy, a local Aussie/pit mix, will join Karen to show how positive reinforcement-based training makes for a happy pup! This event is also a fundraiser for The Dog Rehoming Project.
The Dog Rehoming Project (www.thedogrehomingproject.org) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bridge the gap between research and the people who need it, to put science behind dog sheltering and dog rehoming. Donations can be made through the organization's website in advance (www.thedogrehomingproject.org/donate), or in person at the event.
Tickets are limited.
