Think & Link with Karen Bachman Thull and Christine Lantinen

We have the sweet smell of February on our minds. 

We have Karen Bachman Thull who heads up marketing at Bachman’s and ran her own design agency and authored a children’s book before taking on her current role in the family business. Karen’s storytelling talent has helped the retailer stay relevant, modern and connected with the community. Her focus on seasonal and customer experience marketing efforts have shown up in stores and numerous local media outlets. As a fifth generation, you could say she’s blossomed in the role, but no one would say something so cliche. 

Christine Lantinen of Maud Borup Candy has a story crafted from epic legends and whispers in our community. She is a Minnesota farm girl who served in the US Army and Army Reserve before acquiring a century old confections company in 2005. Christine has transformed the candy company with an eye for great design and a heart for sustainable business practices. She was also recently inducted into the National Association of Women Business Owners Hall of Fame, now they’ll be retiring her jersey number. 

The most creative candy company you’re just hearing about today, unless you’re culturally tuned in and then give yourself a nod of appreciation. 

Areas of learning from this event;

One: Creativity can be simplified to the intellectual exercise of connecting two divergent concepts, ideas or things. How do you infuse creativity into everything you do? 

Two: How have you brought sustainable business practices into your business and how can everyone improve their business in this manner?

Drinks and appetizers will be served. RSVP required for event entry. Parking, entrance and additional attendance details will be sent via email prior to the event.
