We had such an amazing team show up in March! We are so grateful and we honestly can’t believe how much got done. Who thought cleaning trash would be so rewarding? I keep ogling the before and afters photos 👀
The Lore:
The Thiessens compound is growing by 10 acres! 🏡
We are pooling our resources together, to put down roots and create generational legacy for our children and their children… it’s an exceptional opportunity, because the condition of the property requires a lot of work, but this makes it an accessible and affordable opportunity for us! One man’s trash… our treasure!! Not to mention the property was originally owned by family in the 1940’s, so we are reclaiming some of our history.
The property has been sitting for 3 years, experiencing great decay from squatters, dumpers and lack of care from the previous owners. The county, and neighbors have expressed great distress, from the trash and squatters abusing the land, which included setting a motor home on fire summer 2025. 🔥🚒🚐
We are working with the estate ambassador to process our offer and make the purchase official. In the meantime we are cleaning and prepping the land for a new beginning(:
There are 2 homes on the property that need to be remodeled, The Middle Thiessens (Joren, Becca, Rose & Daisy) are moving into the main home, and The Little Thiessens (Jadan and Ariel) are moving into the ADU on the property.
In a world filled with great decay, in our communities, in our nations… in our hearts. Our impact-fullness of wealth has changed, we have all experienced the decline of accessibility to homes and land… but we are abundantly wealthy in our love, and with the amazing people we have met along the way(:
ALL of this is the context for this invite(: which we are excited to give, but we want to ask for your help in this amazing adventure. Sunday April 26th we are starting where we left off.
What to expect!
🍕- PIZZA! This is a must… We will start with lunch! Duh!
📋- Ariel and her list! There are a lot of variations of tasks to be done. We will work to deligate tasks out based on accessibility and availability.
🗑️- Maybe the most trash you have ever seen 🤣 It’s quite amazing how destructive just 3 years can be.
🛻🛻🛻- This go around we are going to focus on dump trailers. We did the math and this is more cost effecting and easier then the dumpster! We will have Hopfully 3 trailers alternating taking garbage to the dump.
🚜 🙋🏻‍♂️- Rick + his red tractor of course! This has been a huge resource for us, and helps with the heavy lifting of loading the dumpster and moving trash. Also he says any moment he’s on the tractor is “just awesome” 😎
🧤- If you have work/garden gloves we recommend these for protection and also, ick factor 🥴
🥽- if you have a comfortable solutions for eye protection this is not required, but a recommendation based on your comfort level.
👖- Wear good pants and shoes! There are definitely some opportunities for sharp objects, like sticker bushes, to cause harm to exposed skin, please protect your body.
🪏🪣- We will have some useful tools for you to use to assist in cleaning up. But of course if you have anything useful to you, please bring it along!
👧🏼🧒🏼👶🏻 - We are planning to have a few baby sitters stay back at the Thiessen house to help with the kids! Let us know if you’re bringing them(:
🚗🚙- We have the property blocked off with cinder blocks, to prevent more people from dumping their trash. So we will have everyone park at the Big Thiessens home (Rick and Johnna) and walk over through a path Rick has made!
