When the Maine chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America came to us and asked if they host their own movie night in our Purple Room, AND that they wanted that movie to be John Carpenter's 1988 classic They Live, we couldn't resist.
This is event is free and open to anyone who'd like to attend, but seats are limited so once we're full we'll have to turn people away.
After we watch "Rowdy" Roddy Piper suplex some aliens the DSA will encourage a discussion of how Carpenter's film ties into the issues so many working people face today.
