Theseus Crew is a Magandjin-based musical collective that embodies evolution and transformation 🌱 Just as the legendary ship had all its parts replaced over time while it remained the same vessel, this group of accomplished players reinvents itself with a changing line-up of musicians for each improvised performance ⚡️
Theseus Crew bring together intricate rhythms of funk, neo-soul, hip hop & more with the spontaneous creative spirit of jazz, fusion, experimental & ambient music ✨ For sit-ins, please check in with the band during a set break or beforehand if you'd like to be involved, complete respect for the hosting players & equipment is key 🙏
This event will be held on the unceded Yuggera and Turrbal land of Magandjin (Brisbane). Theseus Crew extend their deep gratitude and respect to Elders, both past, present & emerging and acknowledge their ongoing connection to country of over 65,000 years. We recognise the ongoing struggles of First Nations peoples in so-called Australia and around the world.
