Ever wonder what happens after the water goes down the drain?
Most of us paddle the Farmington River without thinking about everything that goes into protecting it.
On July 2, we're combining a relaxing paddle with a behind-the-scenes look at one of the systems that helps keep our river clean and healthy.
We'll paddle a scenic section of the Wild & Scenic Farmington River, then tour the Simsbury Water Pollution Control Facility to see how water is treated before returning to the river.
It's one of those experiences that changes the way you look at a place you've visited a hundred times.
 Beginner friendly
 Guided by Paula Saaf
 Includes facility tour
