If you have ever attended a local or community theater presentation, you might have thought that you could never be a part of it. "I can't act," you think. And maybe you're right. And maybe you're wrong. Because maybe you've never tried. Maybe you once tried but it didn't work out. Maybe you just needed the right environment.
But there's so very much more to community theater than what you see on the stage. Yes, you might be able to tell that we're having a good time. And you would be right. The most important thing to remember about theater in general, and community theater in specific, is that what you see on stage is a team sport.
Just as in football there are specialty teams to support the front line, in theater we have specialty teams to support the actors that you see on stage. And just as in football, without the supporting or specialty teams, there would be no game.
So if you've ever thought you might like to be a part of this community, join us as we explore how the skills and talents you bring to the table can make YOUR community theater stronger.
We'll talk about all aspects of a production -- from acting to directing, from set-building to props, from house management to costuming. Trust us, no matter what your skill set or interest, we'll find a part for you to play.
