Devon-based actor-musician company Stowaway Theatre bring CLUCK! to Exeter Library, a brand-new original musical inspired by one of the strangest true stories you'll ever hear: Mike the Headless Chicken, a chicken from 1940s Colorado who lived for 18 months without his head.
Head on down to the farmyard as the chickens come together to tell the legend of Mike in a fast-paced, comic musical packed with puppetry, live music, and many, many eggcellent chicken puns. Aimed at family audiences and genuinely to be seen to be believed.
Stowaway Theatre is a female-led company formed in 2023, creating actor-musician theatre inspired by historical true stories that have been lost, forgotten, or simply never given the platform they deserve. Their debut show, 40 Elephants, received its first performances in 2024 with support from Arts Council England.
Tickets are £5 for Library Members and £7 for non-Members.
